The MCFDW stands now, and always, with the people of color in our communities as they continue to speak out against racism, injustice, and oppression. The recent horrific deaths of George Floyd, Ahmad Arbery, and Breonna Taylor, among many, highlight the violence against people of color that has become all too familiar. It is up to all of us to work diligently and unceasingly until the fear and pain suffered by our friends and neighbors stops. Our differences are not a weakness, but a strength. While it is shameful that in 2020 we must fight for tolerance, inclusion and against prejudice, we are encouraged by the many members of our Middlesex communities who have reached out in support of justice and against such acts of violence. We can make a difference and, indeed, we must.
