INTERNSHIPS & SCHOLARSHIPS
There are 3 scholarships available for internships for young women:
Rilla Moran Woods (NFDW Founder) – 1-month internship at DNC Headquarters in Washington, DC - $3,000
Agnes Bird Scholarship – 1-month internship at State Party Headquarters, $1,500
Emerging Leader Fellowship – 1-month internship at Emerge America in either Washington, DC or San Francisco, CA - $2,500
Guidelines and nominating forms are online at www.nfdw.com, however, the Emerging Leader Fellowship is new and not online yet. The deadline will likely be May 1, 2019
AWARDS
Three awards are given out each year at convention to recognize worthy democratic women:
NFDW Member of the Year
Humanitarian Award
Outstanding Elected Democratic Women Holding Public Office
Nomination forms and criteria are online at www.nfdw.com. Deadline for these submissions will be the same as the scholarships and anticipated to be May 1, 2019. There are deserving women in each of your states so please get with your Executive Board to nominate someone for each of these awards.
WOMEN IN BLUE
The 2nd Annual Women in Blue Lobby Day on the Hill is March 27, 2019 and we expect it to be another successful event. 2019 CONVENTION & ELECTION OF OFFICERS
The 2019 Annual NFDW Convention and Meeting will be held June 13-15, 2019 in Albany, NY at The Desmond Hotel.
